Kathy Bacon-Greenberg, Ph.D.

Kathy Bacon-Greenberg is very pleased to be co-directing, with Danielle Novack, the One Year Introductory Program at The Mitchell Center, beginning in the fall of 2025. She is faculty and supervisor at NIP and adjunct clinical professor at the Derner Center for Advanced Psychological Studies, Adelphi University. She is in private practice via Zoom from Brooklyn and in person in Manhattan. Her clinical interests center on dreams, with their rare metaphoric look into the unguarded psyche, the background structure of Winnicott's transitional phenomena, and involvement with patients' lives over long stretches of time - either continuously or when they return after a hiatus of years or even decades. She has presented papers on a psychoanalytic understanding of abortion and assisted reproductive technologies, among other areas of interest over the years.
